Album:
Fida
Artiste:
Abbey
Indipop
and that too with the flavour of love never seems to lose its charm.
Abbey's Fida is in league with such romantic albums. This album is
the singer's second album and goes on to prove that the singer's earlier
success was not just a flash in the pan.
Fida
is surely not a run-of -the-mill collection of songs. The numbers
are hummable and have a dream-like quality to them. "Tum ho" leaves
one feeling weak-kneed while "Aisa dard" is purely nostalgic. "Phir
se" and "Saathi" reflect upon the joys of being in love.
These
tracks stand evidence to Abbey's soulful and fresh voice. Though the
singer is not scintillating yet, he lures the listener into drowning
himself in the music. Fida meets the promise that it holds out.

Album: Kahan
Hai Tu
Artiste:
Shail
After the debacle of his debut album, Hello
Shail returns with his second album Kahan Hai Tu. One believes that
each of the eight tracks have sounds differently mixed. The title
track, "Kahan hai tu" has some very innovative alaaps.
According
to the music director, Biddu, "It's very modern and has the right
mix of eastern and western sounds." He seems to have used a combination
of a live flute, synthesizers and guitars in this album. As is the
order of the day, an accompanying music video is a must. So, one has
also been shot for this album by Bobby Khan and the choreography has
been done by Ahmed Khan.
It
is for the listeners to judge whether the unique selling proposition
of this album is its music as proclaimed by the music director.
